Maintenance Engineer – Moira/County Armagh – £45,000 to £55,000 (£22 per hour to £24 per hour)
The successful candidate will provide an electrical, mechanical and instrumentation resource to support the efficient manufacture of products, in a safe manner while promoting and maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement.

Duties:
·Ensure all engineering work is carried out in compliance with SOP’s and safe working practices
·Monitoring equipment and plant performance and following maintenance (SAP PM) plans.
·Carrying out planned routine and non-routine maintenance tasks which will ensure plant performance is maintained at a high level.
·Actively seek areas of improvements (site wide in all aspects) an actively support your Team Leader in continuous improvement projects.
·Effectively communicate with all appropriate personnel within your sphere of responsibility.
·Ensure all work is handed over effectively to colleagues starting next shift.
·Update plant asset technical register using portable tablet device.
·Perform Point of Work Risk Assessments using STAR books to help in assessing tasks to be completed.
·During and following equipment breakdowns or periods where specification parameters have not been achieved, contribute fully in 5-Why Investigations to determine root cause of problems.
Criteria:
·NVQ Level 3 in Engineering with strong cross trade skills in mechanical/electrical OR NVQ Level 3 in Mechatronics
·Minimum of 4 years recent and relevant work experience within a production or manufacturing environment
·Must be able to demonstrate a flexible skill set fully exploiting cross or multi skill elements of training without trade demarcation
·Ability to solve problems using a logical thought process and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrences.
·To be able to operate under pressure in a fast moving technical environment.
·Detailed knowledge of manufacturing equipment and/or processes and of the safety requirements in the maintenance and repair of same.
·Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
·Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Ability to work rotating 12 hour, continental shifts with weekend and night shift work included.
Desirable Criteria
·Relevant experience within the food / dairy industry
·17th or 18th Edition wiring regulation qualification
·HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering Discipline
·Accredited cross trade qualification
