Our client is one of the country's most well-known and successful names in the property development and construction space, with offices across the UK and over 40 years' experience, multi-million turnover along with being a multiple award winner.
The role involves:
- Full responsibility for overseeing all project design, ensuring compliance.
- Programme and manage the design process from tender stage through to preferred bidder to construction stages with management and influencing skills.
- Manage design and commercial risk with an eye on making the most of all value engineering opportunities.
- Collaborate with project teams, CDM coordinator and ensure all designs meet regulatory and statutory requirements such as Planning Conditions, Building Control and BREEAM.
- Review and implement requirements with a flair for being cost effective.
The person should have:
- Qualification in Construction, Technical Design or related discipline – HND minimum.
- 3 years minimum working in the construction space.
- Confidence in dealing with clients, site teams and subcontractors; excellent verbal and written communication skills along with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
- A record of being able to work on several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- IT proficiency.
- Current, valid UK driving licence.
