Due to continued growth, we are supporting their search for an experienced HR Executive to join their Power team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation with a strong people commitment within a stable and supportive team focused working environment.

Supporting the Head of HR, you will be a key partner to all HR operational functions of the facility, business partnering closely with senior leaders and managers to implement and enhance HR strategies that drive business success. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent relationship building skills and be able to think and act strategically whilst also being delivery focused. You will support the overall HR agenda, coupled with a credible and people centric approach within a growing switchgear production facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a business partner across all HR operational activities.
  • Provide specialist HR advice to managers and employees alike to ensure HR delivery is in line with overall strategy and objectives.
  • Enable HR support, guidance and direction to managers and team leaders on HR procedures and processes and any employee related matters.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive culture by supporting company employee initiatives as a people-centric employer, retaining a positive workplace environment.
  • Key involvement in all aspects of recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction.
  • Administer and oversee HRIS software ensuring accuracy of digital data held.
  • Provide policy updates on general best practice and legislative requirements.
  • Develop company policies and procedures within a continually up-to-date employee manual.
  • Lead recruitment programmes for graduates and apprentices, working closely with universities, colleges and schools.
  • Monitor and analyse HR trend data to help with strategy development to improve organisational effectiveness.
  • Oversee sickness absence and long-term absence, including advice and recommendations to managers and supervisors.
  • Coordinate occupational health appointments and management referrals.
  • Management of performance systems including probationary periods and performance appraisals.
  • Compile HR statistical reports for monthly management meetings.
  • Support managers in employment relation issues including disciplinary & grievance issues in line with legislation, policy, best practice and HR KPI’s.
  • Lead and deliver HR projects and initiatives.
  • Design, implement and deliver appropriate HR training as required.
CRITERIA
  • Significant HR generalist experience within a high-volume manufacturing setting, with a strong understanding of HR practices and policies.
  • CIPD qualification – Level 5 or above.
  • Experience in managing employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, organizational / talent development and HRMS / HRIS systems.
  • Competent knowledge of NI employment legislation.
  • Career experience of acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR-related matters, ensuring that HR practices & policies are aligned with the company's goals and culture.
  • Ability to influence and advise leadership on HR matters.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in handling employee relations issues or organizational challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and HR practices in a dynamic environment.
  • This role also involves identifying and addressing HR challenges and opportunities in line with business needs.
