Electrical Building Services Design Engineer
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer (HPTO) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
Pay Rate – £19.59 per hour
Location – DoF, CPD Property Services Division – Clare House
Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
Hours – 37 hours per week
The key duties include:
- Feasibility, design and contract managing the installation of electrical building services works projects (up to a value of £500k).
- Typical electrical designs may include:
- fixed electrical wiring, general & emergency lighting, fire alarm & associated fire safety systems, door access systems, standby electrical power systems.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
- An NVQ Level 4 qualification in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the design of electrical building services within buildings* (Includes: office accommodation, educational facilities, healthcare facilities, complex multi-occupancy housing developments, retail facilities, or other sectors of similar scope, technical complexity and regulatory requirements, but would exclude domestic properties.)
Desired Experience/Qualifications
- A Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the design of electrical building services within buildings* (Includes: office accommodation, educational facilities, healthcare facilities, complex multi-occupancy housing developments, retail facilities, or other sectors of similar scope, technical complexity and regulatory requirements, but would exclude domestic properties.)
Relevant or Equivalent Qualifications
Applications will also be considered from applicants with relevant formal qualifications considered to be of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
