We are working with a well-established accountancy practice seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied client portfolio, support junior team members, and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, acting as a primary point of contact
- Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Review VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Support clients with tax compliance, including corporation tax and personal tax
- Provide advisory support to clients
- Mentor and support junior team members, review their work and assist with development
- Ensure deadlines are met, and work is delivered to a high standard
Key Requirements
- Fully qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
- 2-3 years of experience within an accountancy practice environment is essential
- Strong technical knowledge of UK/ROI accounting standards and tax regulations
