Flexsource NI are working in partnership with the Agrifood and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) in their search for Agricultural Staff, working in their Plant Testing Station in Crossnacreevy
This is a temporary position, for 51 weeks, working 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, & Friday 8.30am to 2.00pm
Responsibilities- Working on the AFBI Crossnacreevy research farm which specialises in trials of wheat, barley, oats and grasses
- Support activities relating to trial establishment and management which entails a range of jobs such as using tractors, mowers, harvesters to do tasks like ploughing, spraying, spreading fertiliser, combining and mowing surroundings
- Experience working in an agricultural setting with knowledge of crop
- Previous experience handling and operating farm machinery is essential
- Previous experience in spraying, along with certificates, is desirable
