Job Opportunity: Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant Location : North Hertfordshire Schedule : Monday-Friday (future flexibility required) Salary : £24,000 p/a Hours : 37.5 hours per week Reports To : Responsible Pharmacist About the Role We are looking for a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join a dynamic online pharmacy team. You will play an integral role in dispensing medications accurately, supporting customer inquiries, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Medication Dispensing Dispense controlled prescription medications following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assist pharmacists with preparation, labelling, and packaging of medications. Ensure all processes meet legal and quality standards. Customer Service Address inquiries related to prescriptions and medication use. Deliver exceptional service, providing accurate and professional advice. Inventory Management Restock medications and supplies while monitoring inventory levels. Identify and report expired stock in line with compliance requirements. Administrative Tasks Maintain customer records with confidentiality and precision. Process billing and manage prescription paperwork. Compliance and Safety Follow GPhC and GDP guidelines, ensuring safety and regulatory adherence. Maintain a clean and secure workspace. Team Collaboration Work closely with pharmacists and the wider team for seamless operations. Support the training of new team members when required. What You’ll Bring Qualifications GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above). NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent dispensing course. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Excellent IT and organisational skills with a detail-oriented mindset. Experience Previous experience in pharmacy dispensing and stock control. Personal Qualities Team player with a positive attitude. Adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to high standards.
