Pharmacist Prescriber Job Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist Prescriber to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality clinical care. In this role, you will perform remote clinical assessments, make accurate diagnoses, and prescribe appropriate medications in compliance with local and national guidelines. You will also play an active part in supporting our pharmacy operations and mentoring junior medical team members, ensuring the highest standards across clinical areas. Role Overview Location : Non-NHS Pharmacy, North Hertfordshire Hours : Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (37.5 hours per week) Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Prescribing Conduct remote clinical assessments and prescribe medications, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices. Provide clinical advice to colleagues and support the development of new treatments and services. Collaborate with senior clinical leaders, including the Chief Medical Officer and Superintendent Pharmacist, as needed. Patient and Customer Support Respond to patient and customer inquiries, delivering expert advice and addressing concerns with professionalism. Pharmacy Operations Provide dispensing support during peak times or staff absences, ensuring prescriptions are accurate and compliant with legal requirements. Offer guidance on medication usage and potential side effects. Education & Mentorship Stay current with healthcare advancements, medications, and industry guidelines. Support and mentor pharmacy team members to foster professional growth. Qualifications & Skills Education Master’s degree in Pharmacy. Independent Prescriber registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (beneficial but not essential). Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or prescribing is advantageous. Experience Previous experience as a Pharmacist in a medical or retail setting. Prescribing experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
