The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Location: Hybrid (2.5 days per month in office)

Salary: 0.5 FTE

Contract: Part-Time (17.5 hours per week, flexible)

We are looking for an EDI Support Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in driving equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives within our educational activities. This role will support the coordination and oversight of the College's new and existing education initiatives to create fairer training cultures and reduce differential attainment. If you have knowledge of EDI policies, principles, and best practices in an educational setting, then you could make a huge impact!

Job Purpose:

  • Support the implementation of the GMC Action Plan and College Operational Plan.
  • Ensure coherence and communication across the College's educational departments regarding EDI initiatives.
  • Liaise with central College committees and teams to establish responsibilities and requirements.
  • Promote and support the implementation of new and existing initiatives that create fairer training cultures.
  • Provide expertise on College and sector-wide EDI developments and best practices.
  • Coordinate and manage relevant College projects and working groups related to education and delivering the GMC Action Plan.
  • Maintain records of education projects and initiatives, proactively sharing information across the College Membership.
  • Liaise with the GMC on all EDI and Action Plan matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across committees to progress and establish new initiatives.
  • Provide project support and ensure processes move forward effectively.
  • Nurture key relationships and facilitate engagement with stakeholders.
  • Draft reports for committees, outlining key actions and outcomes.
  • Offer signposting on best practices across the industry.
  • Work closely with the EDI Committee, Exams Committee, Curriculum Sub-Committee, Gender Equality Committee, Exams, and Training teams.
  • Consult with internal teams on developing and enhancing EDI-related educational initiatives.
  • Ensure that existing and new initiatives align with best practices in reducing differential attainment.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Experience with professional memberships, committees, or educational/examination settings.
  • Ability to demonstrate proactivity in driving EDI initiatives forward.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple committees and influence decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of EDI policies, principles, and best practices in an educational setting.
