We’re supporting a leading FMCG manufacturing site in Hampshire who are looking to strengthen their engineering team with experienced Maintenance Engineers as part of ongoing production and reliability improvement activity. This is a site-based role supporting high-volume manufacturing operations, ensuring production equipment is maintained, repaired and improved in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, carrying out effective fault finding and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with OEM recommendations and site standards.
  • Support production teams to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimal downtime.
  • Maintain equipment throughout its lifecycle, ensuring reliability, safety and compliance.
  • Work closely with production, engineering and support teams to improve equipment performance and site KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives across the site.
  • Assist with engineering projects, equipment upgrades and process improvements.
  • Carry out changeovers, set-ups and support production as required.
  • Promote and maintain safe systems of work in line with GMP, safety and compliance standards.
  • Share knowledge and support coaching and development of other team members.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across production, quality and engineering functions.

Requirements

  • Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias preferred).
  • Experience in FMCG, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics or similar high-volume manufacturing.
  • Strong fault-finding ability on automated production equipment.
  • Experience with PPM, breakdown response and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing environments advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with shift-based operations.
