6-month contract with potential to extend. London hybrid | 2 days onsite.
Our client is undergoing a major transformation programme which is now at a pivotal stage, where the next phase is for shaping requirements, improving processes and bridging the gap between business need and technical delivery. This is a hands-on role for a Business Systems Analyst who is comfortable working in ambiguity, engaging a wide range of stakeholders and turning complex problems into clear, workable solutions. You’ll need to be confident enough to hold your own with technical teams, but collaborative and curious in the way you work.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll gather, analyse and document business requirements, then turn them into high-quality functional and non-functional specifications.
- You’ll map processes and workflows, support solution design, and act as the link between business users, developers and third parties throughout the lifecycle.
- You’ll also help shape and execute UAT, support business users through testing, and make sure solutions land in line with business goals.
What we’re looking for:
- You’ll bring strong experience of business and systems analysis within complex environments, ideally involving systems integration, data and core platform change.
- You should be comfortable flexing across a broad remit rather than staying in a narrow lane.
- You’ll stand out if you have:
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Experience translating business needs into functional and non-functional specs
- Confidence working with technical teams and interpreting technical detail
- A flexible, low-ego approach with the credibility to influence others
- The judgement to read the room, ask smart questions and push when needed
- Strong technical curiosity, with SQL and/or Python a bonus
- Experience across different industries
This role will suit you if you’re a technically-minded BA.
The opportunity:
This is an initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension through to February 2027 and potentially beyond. You’ll report into a line manager outside the programme, while working day-to-day with programme and project managers.
If you want to work on a large-scale systems replacement where there is real scope, variety and room to add value, this is a strong opportunity.
