The Role of Specification Sales Manager
As Specification Sales Manager, you will target and manage social housing specification projects in your area tracking, winning and protecting specifications from start to finish. Specifically, you will call on new build social housing developers. Once the specification is won you will support M&E contractors/installers and back sell via the electrical wholesalers such as CEF, Edmunsons, Rexel etc. You will deal with a variety of stakeholders and decision makers that include Asset Managers, Procurement, Electrical Managers, Sustainability Managers, Health & Safety and Contracts Managers. The successful Specification Sales Manager will benefit from a strong pre-existing pipeline/customer relationships and importantly, a collaborative and supportive team with a great company culture.

They set the bar within the industry and are considered the gold standard in industry innovation, quality and service. Our client has experienced strong year on year growth and has firm market share with an impressive turnover in excess of £200M. As a result of a promotion and year-on-year growth coupled with market demand, this organisation is looking to recruit an additional Specification Sales Manager as they aim to capitalise on opportunities and want to give their customers an even greater level of focus and service.
The Candidate
Social housing specification sales experience is desirable. For example, those that have sold HVAC products or electrical products into social housing are strongly encouraged to apply, i.e. heating, controls, ventilation etc. Candidates that have experience tracking projects with M&E contractors and/or M&E consultants are encouraged to apply. Candidates that have sold specified domestic/electrical products to house builders or local authorities are also of interest. Candidates that have had success on graduate trainee schemes with electrical wholesalers are of interest. This will be a great opportunity to benefit from industry best training and development programmes to further a career with a tier one manufacturer.
The Package on offer for the Specification Sales Manager
Basic salary £45,000-£55,000 negotiable and dependent on experience. An incredible bonus scheme - £25,000-£33,000 per year.
