The Role of Business Development Manager
This is a field / home based role. As Business Development Manager you will be tasked with targeting predominantly commercial and multi-site industrial and manufacturing organisations in and around Nottingham area. The successful Business Development Manager will target mid- to large sized customers selling sustainable solutions / service contracts to businesses. There will also be some responsibility for managing larger strategic accounts. Key aspects of the role will include self-generating appointments, following internal leads, building a pipeline and negotiating. The Business Development Manager will talk to stakeholders and decision makers at all levels including Q.S's, Environmental Managers, Sustainability Managers and Procurement and Owners. The incoming Business Development Manager will inherit a well established area that has enjoyed excellent service levels. You can realistically expect to earn in excess of £20K in bonus in year 1.

The Candidate
We are looking for a field sales candidate with a new business personality that has a track record of developing new business and managing accounts. Candidates that have sold service contracts such as waste, washrooms, hygiene services, data management, security contracts, office supplies, soft facilities management services will be of particular interest. We are also keen to talk to those that have sold into manufacturing and industrial companies.
