Our client is a household brand and market leading capital equipment manufacturer - they supply their customers with a range of state of the art / innovative commercial machines to solve hygiene and health & safety issues across a broad range of sectors that include transport & logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, facilities management and the public sector. The company are renowned for their unrivalled sales training and development programmes that serve as a platform for successful recruits to progress into Key / National Accounts and People Management. This position has come about due to a recent internal promotion of a successful individual that has been with the business for approx. 2 years.
The Role of Business Development Manager:
Due to an internal promotion our client are looking to recruit a field based Business Development Manager to cover the North East, Yorkshire & (occasionally) Scotland. You will be tasked with generating new business and managing existing accounts selling commercial equipment into public sector accounts such as hospitals, education institutions and government departments. From time to time, you will be responsible for demonstrating products to clients. This varied role is field / home based with a mix of account management and new business. As Business Development Manager, you will call on existing accounts, uncover new opportunities and demonstrate state of the art products to your customer base. You will be supported by team members, product specialists and key account managers.
The Candidate - Business Development Manager:
- Previous experience of selling a product or services (open to sector)
- Field sales experience with a drive to develop a career
- Outgoing, dynamic and confident personality with a consultative sales approach
- This role will be ideal for a career minded field sales professional that wants to represent a leading brand selling 'needed products.'
- You will come with a solid track record but be on the upward curve. My client are looking for a talented individual they can work with and promote within a 2-3 year period (ambition is key)
