This is a field and home based sales position. As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting a specialist range of commercial building products used across public and private sector projects including education, healthcare, leisure, transport and office environments. The role is heavily specification-led, working at early project stage to influence design decisions and ensure solutions are incorporated into project plans.
Your customer base will include architects, consulting engineers, main contractors, local authorities and specialist installers. You will manage a blend of new business development, project tracking and account management, with responsibility for progressing opportunities from initial specification through to order and installation. This is a consultative sales role requiring strong relationship building across multiple stakeholders and a structured approach to managing a project pipeline. You will also support customers and design professionals with product insight and guidance to help inform technical decisions during the specification process.

The business operates across multiple markets and has a strong reputation for product quality, technical performance and long term reliability. They are well respected within the building services supply chain and work closely with design and construction professionals on a wide range of non-residential building projects. The organisation places strong emphasis on training, development and internal progression, with a structured approach to supporting employees at all stages of their career.
We are looking for someone with field sales experience and a consistent, stable track record of success. You do not need industry experience within the construction or building products sector, as full training will be provided. You will be commercially minded, naturally inquisitive and comfortable engaging with technical or solution-based products. Strong communication skills, a consultative approach and the ability to manage long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders is essential.
The Package: £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience, 25% OTE with bonus guaranteed for the initial period, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 30 with service, 5% employer pension contribution, Hybrid company car.
