The Company
Our client are a national leading waste management service provider with a superb reputation in the market. They operate across a number vertical sectors offering waste service solutions, demolition services and recycling solutions to corporate and SME organisations. Due to their success, size and in house training and development schemes they offer genuine career prospects. Successful Business Development Managers are regularly promoted into Key Accounts, National Accounts and People Management positions. With strong staff attrition and continuity within their operations teams, service issues are at a low in comparison with most of their competitors.
The Role of Business Development Manager
This is a field / home based role. As Business Development Manager you will be tasked with targeting predominantly SME organisations in and around the Nottingham area. The successful Business Development Manager will target hospitality, pubs, restaurants retail and commercial businesses (trade waste) selling sustainable reliable waste management solutions / service contracts to businesses. There will also be some responsibility for managing larger strategic accounts. The role is approx. 80% new business and 20% account management. Key aspects of the role will include self-generating appointments, following internal leads, building a pipeline and negotiating. The incoming Business Development Manager will inherit the most well established area. The average Business Development Manager is earning Β£2K+ per month on top of their basic salary.
The Candidate
- We are looking for a field sales candidate with a new business personality that has at least 12 months experience.
- Candidates that have sold service contracts such as waste, washrooms, hygiene services, data management, security contracts, soft facilities management services will be of particular interest.
