Area Sales Manager - HVAC products into Electrical Wholesalers & Contractors
Area: West Midlands - TF ST DE LE CV B DE WV
The Role
Working predominantly with existing customers, the successful Area Sales Manager will track and follow construction projects maintaining solid relationships with national Electrical Wholesalers such as Edmunsons, CEF, Newy & Eyre etc for approximately 60% of the time. The remaining 40% will be spent with M&E contractors, self-build Architects and small to medium-sized house builders. As Area Sales Manager, you will protect specifications and facilitate the back sell via the Electrical Wholesaler. This role isn’t particularly technical and as the role is weighted towards maintaining and developing relationships with Electrical Wholesalers, our client is open-minded on sales background soft skills such as enthusiasm, structure, strong sales ability and good relationship building skills.

Our client is a leading UK national manufacturer of HVAC products and supplies the housing market with cutting-edge solutions and products that are essential in all homes (meaning demand for their products is always high and consistent). This industry-leading brand has won numerous accreditations and awards throughout their 30+ years leading the way with green, energy-efficient products they continue to bring to market. As an employer, this business has an ethos of developing its people with many of the senior management team starting at the very bottom. They have excellent staff attrition with many enjoying 10+ years of service.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have sold into electrical wholesalers or worked for an electrical wholesaler (field sales). Our client will also consider dynamic, enthusiastic, structured high-performing sales professionals from other parts of the construction industry. Field sales candidates with a desire to break into the construction industry will also be considered.

- OTE circa £50K in year 1 uncapped
