CPI has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Lab Technician to join our Formulation facility in Sedgefield. As the Apprentice Lab Technician, you will be involved in all thing’s lab based such as conducting and supporting scientific investigations and experiments, through to collecting and testing samples.
Whilst getting the hands-on experience of working in astate-of-the-art lab, you will also complete aLevel 3Laboratory Technician qualification.

- To help streamline laboratory operations to enable fellow scientists to focus on the design and technical delivery of projects.
- To assist with the maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure it operates in asafe and efficient manner and is available to meet customerneeds.
- To prepare for and perform laboratory tasks using the appropriate scientific techniques, procedures, and methods of relevance to the activities of the laboratory.
The person we are seeking
You must be qualified to at least GCSE level with aminimum of 5GCSEs grade 9—4or equivalent including English, Mathematics and Science. Please note that candidates with degrees in arelated subject will not be eligible for thisrole.
We are looking for someone who has an ability to communicate effectively to both colleagues and customers. You must have astrong attention to detail and have the desire to complete work to ahigh standard. You should also be proactive in your approach to work and have the initiative to consider all options before arriving to aconclusion. In addition, you must always show aprofessional attitude, maintaining ahigh standard of time keeping and reliability.
