The predicted salary is between 28000 - 32000 £ per year.
You will need to be conversant with and undertake a variety of welding & brazing operations required in the assembly of parts or sub-assemblies.
You will also be required to carry out any welding required by maintenance and support the development process as required
To carry out brazing of low temperature silver and high temperature brass work to BS EN:12797:2000 standards including stud plates,
trombone tubes and single end fitting pipes
To carry out welding of aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel to AWSD17.1/D17.1M:2010-AMD1 certification standards.
Set and operate the spot welder, deburr, polish clean and carry out ball bearing tests on all welding and brazing work to required
standards.
To carry out Proof of Concept and other development welding activities as required
To carry out welding work in support of the maintenance team as required
Engineering background
Basic background in H&S policies and procedures / COSHH
regulations.
Experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and
their related ADR’s
Familiar with engineering hand tools.
You will also need good manual dexterity, good attention to detail and meet the eye test requirement.

We have a fantastic opening for a welder/ Brazer for a global market leader within the Military/Aerospace sector.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a well-established family business that genuinely care and support their staff and offer great progression and wonderful benefits.
Hours are 08.00-16.45 Monday to Thursday with a 12pm early finish on Fridays.
Salary is circa £30,000 +benefits, 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays.
