I am recruiting for an HR Director for a 12month FTC for an industry leading manufacturer with quality truly at the heart of what they do. My client is renowned for their innovative products, which seamlessly blend high-grade aluminium with precision engineering.

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Director to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a critical leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance and support across all HR functions.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
  • Support the leadership team with organisational change and development initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance HR policies, procedures, and systems.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience as an HR Director or similar senior HR role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent.
