Our client is a UK market leader within the commercial catering sector. Due to exciting growth, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to spearhead growth within their hospitality sector across the Midlands and the North.

£38-42k base salary with commission to a £55k Year 1 + car/car allowance £5k levelling so a Year 1 £60k OTE package. This role is a remote position but will need someone living in on patch with plenty of client meetings into the hotel sector throughout the Midlands and the North of England. Typically 5-10 client visits on a face-to-face basis weekly, making it a fast-paced role with lots of client facetime.

The ideal candidate will be organised with good diary management, used to planning on a week-to-week basis. The role involves a balance of 70% New Business activities and 30% Account Management. Candidates should be familiar with contract management, negotiation, and pricing documentation.

The new business focus will target clients with a £50k annual spend and an annual target all-in of circa £750-900k. This role is focused on driving revenue across restaurants, pubs, leisure centres, and the NHS, encompassing both private and public sectors.

The role requires opening doors and increasing spend within key clients, necessitating someone with a proven track record of maximising relationships and spend, becoming a main supplier, and securing mutually beneficial working relationships. An empathetic and consultative approach with strong commercial acumen is key.

Travel nationwide across the Midlands and the North of England is required, covering a large territory with decent opportunities to maximise while building your new business pipeline. As a UK market leader, any lapsed clients from over a year count as new business. The territory extends from the Midlands up to Scotland and from North Wales to Suffolk, with the strongest existing territories being the Midlands and the Liverpool/Manchester and Chester region.
