Job Description
Job Title: CAD Engineer
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: 30k PA
Hours:9am-5pm
Responsible for designing, drafting, and developing technical drawings for our smart lighting products and systems. You will work closely with our engineering, design, and production departments to create precise 2D and 3D CAD models, ensuring that our lighting solutions are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet the highest standards of quality.
- Receive lighting layout drawings from contractor/client
- Use AutoCAD to create a backdrop
- Export to Perspective (graphical supervisor software).
- Use Perspective to populate the database with lighting icons and create a network tree to pre-commission the equipment.
- Produce and revise technical drawings and schematics ensuring accuracy, clarity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide technical support and resolve issues.
- Maintain organised documentation of designs, revisions, and technical specifications. Provide regular reports on project status and timelines.
- Contribute ideas and solutions to improve product functionality, efficiency, and design, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry.
- Assist the Estimating team with quotations.
