Project Manager (Estimating & Delivery)

Location: Buckinghamshire (hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office)

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

I’m working with a friendly, established retail marketing agency that works with some of the world’s leading brands, creating bespoke retail displays, installations and other exciting projects.

They offer a complete service from design and production through to installation and fulfilment, and have a close-knit team where everyone plays their part.

The Role

This is a varied role where you’ll manage projects from the initial brief and costing stage right through to production and installation. You’ll need to be comfortable putting together accurate estimates, managing budgets and working closely with clients, suppliers and the internal team to make sure everything runs smoothly and is delivered on time and within budget.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing estimates using client briefs, technical drawings and specifications.
  • Working out material, labour, production and installation costs.
  • Obtaining and negotiating quotes with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Managing project budgets and costs, keeping a close eye on profit margins.
  • Planning workloads, resources and deadlines to keep projects on track.
  • Liaising with clients on project requirements, production and delivery.
  • Coordinating purchase orders and health and safety paperwork, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Preparing project handover and completion documents, including O&M manuals.
  • Keeping everyone updated and dealing with any issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management within retail displays, shopfitting, manufacturing, exhibitions or a similar environment.
  • Experience preparing estimates and managing project budgets and costs.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to understand technical drawings, specifications and client briefs.
  • Experience working with suppliers and negotiating costs.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Someone who can manage several projects at once, stay calm under pressure and take a practical, can-do approach.
  • Confidence using project management, estimating or financial systems.

If you have experience in both estimating and project delivery within retail displays, shopfitting, manufacturing, exhibitions or a similar environment and are looking for your next opportunity, I’d love to hear from you.
