I'm currently recruiting for a Goods Inwards Supervisor on behalf of a well-established and highly successful specialist distributor based in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at a particularly exciting time. They have ambitious growth plans and are preparing for a move into significantly larger premises in Reading by the end of 2026. As a result, this role offers the chance to join a growing organisation where there will be genuine opportunities to develop as the business continues to expand.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Goods Inwards operation, leading a small team and ensuring all inbound stock is received, checked and processed accurately.

I'm particularly keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience within a Goods In, Warehouse or Logistics environment
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience
  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
  • A Reach Truck Licence (highly desirable)
  • Experience receiving, checking and booking in stock
  • Strong stock control and inventory management experience
  • Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
  • A good understanding of warehouse Health & Safety procedures
