Maternity Cover

I'm looking for a creative and organised Junior Design Product Developer to join a UK Upholstery team on a maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a premium, design-led furniture brand and support the development of fabrics, upholstery, and new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Creative Director on fabric development (Accent swatch AW26) and NPIs
  • Liaise with suppliers & manage swatch packs, samples, and fabric data
  • Create fabric codes, swatch boards, and assembly instructions (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop)
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers across design, supply chain & sales
  • Help coordinate the showroom refresh ahead of Spring 2026 launches

Requirements:

  • Degree in Furniture, Textiles, Product Design or similar
  • Experience with upholstery/fabrics in a design-led environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Furniture or furnishings industry experience desirable
