Our client is a leading, respected, family-run manufacturer with over 100 years of heritage producing high-quality products. Due to continued growth and success, they are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to report to the Supply Chain & Customer Service Director.
The Role
You will oversee and optimise the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships. This is a key role ensuring efficient operations, cost control, on-time delivery, and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies
- Manage procurement and supplier performance, working closely with the Outsourced Manager on vendor selection
- Optimise inventory levels, reducing excess and obsolescence
- Oversee logistics, warehousing, and distribution
- Lead the Despatch function, including a Team Leader and team of four (goods-in, stores, and 3PL shipments)
About You
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory, and logistics
- Experience managing teams within an SME environment
- Proficient in ERP and supply chain planning systems
