About this role We seek a highly skilled Physiotherapist to lead our medical team for the Women\’s First Team. You will provide high-quality physiotherapy services, make injury assessments, and collaborate with the medical team on treatment, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. You will also support match day medical services and organize screening programs as needed. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as you will travel with the team for fixtures. Responsibilities Medical care and injury rehabilitation for players Manage the medical department Develop injury prevention strategies Evaluate and diagnose injuries, plan treatment and rehab Create recovery plans with coaching staff Maintain accurate medical records and report on injured players Collaborate on conditioning and fitness programs Ensure medical equipment is maintained and available Provide medical coverage for all fixtures, including travel Attend medical appointments with players Stay updated with sports medicine developments Manage injuries typical in professional women\’s football Perform other duties as assigned Uphold club policies on health, safety, safeguarding, and equality Experience, Skills, and Qualifications Essential: Registered with HCPC Appropriate medical indemnity for treating FA WSL and FA WC players Full Advanced Emergency Aid qualification (Level 5 ATMMiF) Annual ATMMiF re-accreditation At least 4 years in elite sport Experience managing a medical team Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc/MSc) 3-5 years post-graduate musculoskeletal experience Desirable: Experience in elite women\’s sports Postgraduate Sports Medicine qualification Pitch rehab experience UKAD Clean Sport Advisor qualification Benefits Match day ticket Reward and discount schemes Health and wellbeing programs Discounts in retail and gyms Charity volunteering day Travel season ticket loan Incremental holiday allowance Our commitment to equality We promote diversity and equal opportunities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all staff and stakeholders.
