About this role: To consistently deliver high quality, engaging and creative design assets and solutions to support all areas of the football club. Please note, it is necessary for the Junior Graphic Designer to work an equal share of Selhurst Park matchdays, in rotation with two other design colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver a broad range of design assets across a number of print and digital channels, including but not limited to club websites, social media, email marketing, matchday programmes and large-scale print
- Ensure all artwork is visually engaging, accurate and suitable for the execution required
- Work collaboratively with all departments including marketing, content, retail, production, commercial partnerships, hospitality and operations, senior management and the football department when required
- Contribute to exciting global campaigns, including retail designs and launches, and major club announcements
- Focus on commercial requests, and act as a leading contact for Palace women’s and academy design requests
- Contribute to the production of the printed matchday programme for Selhurst Park matches, as well as other key matchday inventory (such as the big screen)
- Generate new ideas and demonstrate design innovation as part of a small in-house studio
- Uphold and promote the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities
- Other duties as required by the line manager
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Proficiency in the Adobe suite, with mastery across Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- At least 1-year relevant industry experience (agency/in-house or placement)
- Strong digital experience
- A relevant degree / appropriate qualification in design
- Knowledge of / passion for football
Desirable requirements
- Motion graphic experience
- Experience in designing for print
