The Purchaser must have a keen eye for detail to buy various goods for our company. The purchaser\’s duties will include conducting market research, building a network of reliable vendors and service providers, negotiating the best contracts, and inspecting deliveries. You should have stellar communication skills and display a high degree of cultural sensitivity to fill this role.
To be successful as a purchaser, you should be able to travel to various stores to procure the necessary items requested. Outstanding purchasers are able to juggle multiple responsibilities at once and make important decisions in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications & Experience
- UAE driverโs license mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Purchaser / Personal Shopper or in a procurement role.
- Retail experience in the UAE.
- Experience working as a purchaser for a VVIP Household is an advantage.
Job Skills
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
- Hands-on experience with purchasing software.
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Negotiation skills.
- Able to work long hours to procure the requested items.
- Able to drive for hours on end to search for the items requested.
- Knowledge of basic items and where they can be sourced.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
