CPE Pressure Vessels is a UK-based manufacturer with over 70 years of expertise in designing and manufacturing pressure vessels. Operating from our modern, purpose-built facilities, we deliver competitive solutions that comply with an extensive range of international design codes and regulations, including ASME U Stamp. We are seeking a Trainee Estimating Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within our company, as we provide training and support to help you excel. Key Responsibilities: General Duties: * Supporting the sales team to secure new projects. * Managing inbound phone calls and directing them appropriately. * Chasing enquiries to ensure smooth and efficient processes. * Quoting new work under guidance. * Handling general administrative tasks such as supplier and AVL forms. * Managing our sales inbox, triaging new enquiries to the right team member. Supporting the Sales Team: * Coordinating material and supplier enquiries. * Assisting with cost estimations and calculations. * Building Bill of Materials. * Preparing budget quotes to support sales initiatives. What We’re Looking For: We’re happy to train and develop the right candidate for this role, but the following skills and attributes would be beneficial: * A keen interest in engineering. * A strong eye for detail * Confidence in handling enquiries and liaising with suppliers. * A professional and friendly phone manner. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. * GCSE-level maths (minimum requirement). * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Some experience in a sales or commercial role. * Previous studies in engineering at any level (GCSE, A-Level, or equivalent) – a degree is not required.
