SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: We are seeking a Project Manager responsible for handling our IT-related projects, specifically our Healthcare & Billing Migration from one system to another. You will work closely with the IT team, operations, and finance teams to ensure all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are met.
Responsibilities include:
- Submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, establishing effective communication plans, and executing them properly.
- Healthcare Insurance/Benefits Administration background, focusing on enrolment, benefits administration, vendor partner integration, and member & employer-facing services.
- Creating and documenting process flows, functional and technical requirements in user stories and process maps for user experience design, testing, and implementation.
- Analysing business implications and applying problem-solving skills to meet business needs.
- Translating information using business knowledge and identifying additional information needed to support business objectives.
- Interacting with internal/external customers to define information for solution development.
- Developing and integrating delivery approach, dependencies, resource requirements, and schedule for multiple workstreams.
- Creating detailed project schedules and resolving schedule and resource conflicts.
- Participating in presenting information to customers and internal business areas.
- Creating business, product, and third-party vendor specifications.
- Supporting the implementation and launch of products.
- Managing communications with stakeholders, leadership, and project teams, including plans, status reports, and updates.
- Leading cross-functional teams without authority to ensure project success.
- Working closely with senior leadership on organizational and policy changes for new system implementation.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyse problems and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate business issues into technical solutions.
- Experience with Healthcare Insurance in the Commercial sector, especially with customer-facing portals and back-office operations.
- Business Analysis experience, 6+ years required.
- Business Applications and Systems Solution delivery, 8+ years required.
- Proven ability to map business processes, gather requirements, and write technical/business documents.
- Project management and collaboration experience in iterative environments, at least 3 years.
- Experience managing technical and functional requirements and traceability.
- Ability to drive change and make decisions with sound reasoning.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, TFS.
- Extensive healthcare experience, including claims, provider reimbursements, clinical, and provider-facing portals and applications.
- Experience managing requirements and implementation with third-party vendors.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable to change, and eager to learn new skills.
