Responsibilities
The CPC Systems team is on the lookout for talented Safety Consultants looking for the next step in their safety and assurance consulting careers. We are recruiting across several roles and levels to join our ever-expanding team. You’ll be leading or supporting the delivery of safety activities in various sectors, across a range of exciting project opportunities, as well as being a key part of our developing approach to safety analysis, development of new data driven tools using performance data to validate safety assessments and much more.
Desired skills and experience
- Degree in Engineering, Science or similar.
- Experience in delivering safety engineering and assurance services, using methods and tools aligned with standards such as EN50126, EN50129, IEC 61508, IEC 61511 and CSM-RA or CMREA.
- Experience in delivering safe integration, using methods and tools aligned with TSIs or NTSNs.
- Strong background in safety assurance management, safety approvals, and safety management activities for major infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with safety assurance for existing and new products, including rail signalling systems & rolling stock, complex control systems, process systems, infrastructure upgrade, etc.
- Knowledge of safety management systems consulting, such as RM3 auditing and safety strategy development.
- Member of a professional institution and chartered (or Professional Engineer status in Canada) or desire to work towards this qualification.
- Business development skills, including proposal writing and relationship building with clients and industry stakeholders, collaborating with clients to understand their objectives and desired outcomes for each project.
- Bidding, winning, and successful delivery of commercially viable projects, collaborating with clients to understand their objectives and desired outcomes for each project.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and proactively prioritise workload.
- A passion for tackling interesting and challenging work, embracing variety in projects.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Awareness of AI and emerging technology applications, with the ability to leverage modern tools and data‑driven approaches to enhance safety analysis and assurance activities will be a plus.
