At CPC Project Services, we’re an award-winning, independent Project Management and Cost Consultancy delivering some of the UK’s most complex infrastructure and transformational change programmes. As an employee-owned business, our people sit at the heart of everything we do. We’re building a culture centred around ownership, collaboration, progression, and long-term career development – giving individuals the opportunity to genuinely shape both the projects they deliver and the future of CPC.

With strong growth across our Infrastructure division, we’re looking for Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to help deliver one of the UK’s most ambitious long-term water infrastructure investment programmes.

The UK water sector is entering a once-in-a-generation investment cycle, creating one of the most significant infrastructure delivery environments in the country. This is long-term, secured work at national scale, with high technical complexity and exposure to critical programmes where performance, governance, and delivery certainty are essential. You’ll gain experience on some of the UK’s most important infrastructure projects, with clear opportunities for development and progression.

This programme spans multi-billion-pound capital spend across asset renewal, network reinforcement, major reservoirs, and sustainability-led upgrades. You will join a growing infrastructure team of circa 30 professionals (from early careers through to senior leadership) focused on water sector delivery. This creates a highly collaborative environment with strong exposure to complex programmes, senior stakeholders, and long-term investment planning. Delivered in highly regulated, live environments, these schemes require strong leadership and the ability to manage complexity across multiple stakeholders. This is infrastructure with real purpose — improving resilience, sustainability, and the long‑term security of essential services for millions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Manager
    • Support delivery of infrastructure projects through all lifecycle stages
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary design, commercial, and delivery teams
    • Manage schedules, reporting, risks, and project governance processes
    • Support stakeholder engagement and communication across project teams
    • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and project performance
    • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery
  • Senior Project Manager
    • Lead delivery of complex infrastructure projects and workstreams
    • Manage strategic stakeholder relationships and governance frameworks
    • Oversee programme performance, risk, and change control
    • Lead multidisciplinary teams within live operational environments
    • Drive delivery across cost, schedule, and commercial outcomes
    • Mentor and support junior project management professionals

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in Project Management within infrastructure environments
  • Previous exposure to the Water sector, either directly or indirectly
  • Experience working within regulated or live operational environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing project reporting, governance, risk, and delivery performance
  • Understanding of NEC contracts and infrastructure delivery models (desirable)
  • Consultancy or client‑side experience advantageous
  • An APM qualification is beneficial, however we will fully support you throughout your journey towards becoming accredited.

At CPC Project Services, we offer more than just a competitive salary — we provide a benefits package that supports you both at work and beyond. Highlights include:

  • Private healthcare for you and your family (including dental and optical)
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Travel insurance (including winter sports) for you, your partner, and dependants
  • Support with professional memberships and ongoing training

We also believe great work deserves recognition. That’s why we offer a personal performance bonus and annual salary reviews, ensuring your contribution is recognised as we achieve our goals together.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience is not a 100% match for this position. We are looking for someone with relevant skills and experience, not a checklist that exactly matches the job description.
