We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Maintenance Engineer to provide exceptional technical support across multiple ultra-high-net-worth private residences and a family office in London. This hands-on role is responsible for the maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and seamless operation of all mechanical, electrical, and domestic systems within impeccably presented, fully occupied homes.
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience from luxury residential, private estates, or super-prime properties, with the technical confidence to resolve a wide range of household engineering issues. A discreet, service-focused, and polished approach is essential, with the ability to work efficiently and unobtrusively around principals, guests, and household staff.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple high-end residences.
- Diagnose and repair faults across:
- Domestic boilers and heating systems
- Hot and cold water services, cylinders, booster and circulation pumps
- AC, split systems, and comfort cooling
- Security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control, intercoms)
- Specialist kitchen appliances and integrated domestic equipment
- Lighting, power, and minor electrical issues
- General residential mechanical and building systems
- High-end residential heating and boiler systems
- Pressurised hot water cylinders and domestic water services
- Cold water booster sets and associated pumps
- AC and comfort cooling systems (split/MVHR)
- Security, CCTV, alarms, access control
- Premium domestic/kitchen appliances
- Domestic BMS-style controls and plant room systems
- Minor electrical fault-finding
- General plumbing, mechanical systems, and first-line maintenance
- Broad troubleshooting across typical household technical faults
- Multi-skilled engineer with excellent hands-on fault-finding capabilities
- Strong understanding of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and domestic building services
- Confident working autonomously and taking ownership from issue to resolution
- Highly discreet, trustworthy, professional, and presentable
- Calm and solution-focused under pressure
- Service-oriented with a clear understanding of UHNW expectations
- Comfortable working in occupied homes with minimal disruption
- Flexible with occasional out-of-hours support and emergency response as required
- Experience within UHNW households, luxury private residences, private estates, boutique hotels, premium hospitality, or high-end residential developments
- Qualifications in heating/plumbing, electrical, HVAC/air conditioning, mechanical engineering, or building services
- Relevant certifications in heating, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC disciplines (advantageous)
