The Economy and Environment Directorate is seeking a skilled professional with proven experience in Local Authority settings to support the consolidation of its contracts management approach. A key responsibility will be to engage with internal stakeholders to identify and bring additional major contracts into scope, ensuring alignment with council-wide objectives and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the integration of additional contracts into the existing contracts management framework.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the Economy and Environment Directorate to identify opportunities for improved contract oversight.
- Ensure all contract management practices align with Local Authority regulations and best practices.
The Contracts Management team reports to the Director of Commercial Services, who oversees a broad portfolio including: Contracts Management within the Economy & Environment Directorate, Property Services (Estates, Investment, and Retail), Facilities Management, Capital Programmes, and broader commercial activity across the council.
