Supply Caretaker Location: Acacia Road, Mitcham, CR4 1SF Contract: Temporary Supply Assignment (Initial 1 Month) Potential Extension: Yes, subject to operational requirements Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm Role Overview We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Supply Caretaker to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a site in Mitcham. This is an initial one-month temporary placement with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the premises remain safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained while supporting staff, visitors, and contractors as required. Key Responsibilities Opening and securing the premises as required. Carrying out routine building inspections and reporting defects. Undertaking basic maintenance and minor repairs. Ensuring the site is clean, safe, and presentable at all times. Monitoring site security and responding to issues as they arise. Assisting with room setups and site preparation for activities or events. Managing deliveries and liaising with contractors on-site. Monitoring heating, lighting, and other building services. Carrying out health and safety checks, including fire safety inspections. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and incidents. Supporting the wider site team with ad hoc duties as required. Essential Requirements Previous experience in a Caretaker, Facilities Assistant, Site Assistant, Maintenance Operative, or similar role. Good practical maintenance and DIY skills. Ability to work independently and use initiative. Good communication and organisational skills. Understanding of health and safety procedures. Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work. Desirable Experience working within a school, educational, community, or public sector environment.
