School Caretaker (Evening Shift) | Immediate Start
Location: Oxford Spires Academy, Oxford, OX4 4DU
Hours: 16:00 - 22:00, Monday to Friday
Duration: 4-5 Week Temporary Assignment
Requirement: Enhanced DBS Certificate Required
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to provide temporary cover at a busy secondary school in Oxford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and proactive individual with previous experience in caretaking, facilities management, maintenance, or site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening, closing and securing the school premises
- Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs
- Setting up classrooms and facilities for school and evening activities
- Conducting routine site inspections
- Ensuring the site remains safe, clean and compliant
- Responding to maintenance issues as they arise
- Supporting health and safety procedures across the school
- Liaising with contractors, visitors and school staff as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance or facilities role
- Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Reliable, professional and well-presented approach
- Available to start immediately
