This is an office-based role in Clydebank.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a brand-new role, shape our procurement processes from the ground up, and become a key player in our close-knit, lively team. As Main Buyer, you will manage the entire purchasing function for the business. Your daily focus will be sourcing materials and managing supply chains for our core sectors: civils (primarily access roads—no residential groundworks) and commercial fencing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all procurement for materials, plant hire, and fencing supplies across the business.
- Transition our PO system from Excel to QuickFiles, streamlining the process for the whole team.
- Negotiate best rates and build strong relationships with key suppliers and merchants.
- Collaborate closely with site teams and management to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Manage sub-contractor procurement, particularly for major projects.

- Commercially Minded: Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best value without compromising on quality or deadlines.
- Team Player: Someone who thrives in a collaborative, communicative environment.
What’s on Offer?
