The Firm

Our client is a specialist property and private client firm with over 20 years of history in the heart of Edinburgh. Located a stone’s throw from the city centre, they offer the perfect balance of a central location with a close-knit, supportive team culture. The firm is currently in an exciting period of growth following a recent acquisition of another business. As the senior team looks toward the future, our client is seeking a motivated Conveyancing Solicitor to join them and help drive the next generation of the practice.

The Role

This isn’t a "cog in the machine" role. Because this is a boutique practice, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the entire process, building genuine relationships with an extensive list of repeat clients and referrals. You will lead a dedicated team (supported by your own legal secretary), overseeing a busy domestic conveyancing caseload. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants more autonomy and a clear path to leadership.

Why Join Our Client?

  • Fast-Track Progression: They mean it. A current Director joined as a recent post-grad and reached Director level within five years.
  • Work-Life Balance: 9-5 hours, a monthly wellbeing hour, and the option to work from home one day per week (post-probation).
  • The Perks: A social environment with regular Friday drinks, annual summer outings, and a Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Peace of Mind: 5% employer pension contribution, 3x salary Death in Service benefit, and a comprehensive Cash Health Plan.
  • Holiday: 30 days total (22 floating days plus 8 fixed public holidays).

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified Solicitor with a solid background in Scottish Residential Conveyancing.
  • Someone who enjoys client interaction and managing a process from start to finish.
  • A team player ready to mentor junior staff and secretaries.
  • Ambition to grow within a firm that is actively succession planning.

Package

  • Competitive salary commensurate with your experience.
  • Free conveyancing fees for your own property transactions while employed by our client.

How to Apply

If you’re looking for a firm where you can actually make a name for yourself rather than just hitting a billing target, we’d love to chat.
