About the Role
We are looking for a Restoration Technician to join our Essex-based field team. You will be responsible for attending residential and commercial properties to carry out restoration and mitigation works following water, fire, and mould damage. This role is primarily field-based, working within a defined postcode area to reduce travel time and improve job efficiency.
Working Pattern
- 08:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday
- Start and finish directly at client sites
- No overtime entitlement (salary reflects revised structure and reduced travel requirements)
- Work allocated within Essex and surrounding postcode areas
- On-Call Rota: 1 in 10 weeks on-call requirement
- On-call allowance: £30 per weekday, £50 per weekend day
- Paid even if not called out
- Additional earning potential up to approx. £250 per on-call week
Key Responsibilities
- Attend client sites to assess and carry out restoration works
- Operate drying, extraction, and restoration equipment safely and effectively
- Carry out water, fire, mould, and trauma-related mitigation works
- Complete accurate job documentation and reports
- Communicate professionally with customers and insurers where required
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and stock
- Work closely with Lead Technicians and regional team members
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in restoration, mitigation, or related building services preferred
- Understanding of water damage, drying processes, or remediation work
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good time management and reliability
- Full UK driving licence required
