Company: Private Equity backed logistics/transport business now seeks to appoint a Regional Head of Finance in a newly created role. Supporting both the local MD and working alongside the Group Finance team, you will lead the Management Reporting, Planning and Control function for the South West region. A high level of autonomy will be provided, and the role will suit a motivated problem solver with an inquisitive nature and a natural drive to succeed. Expect to be interacting with key stakeholders around the business, developing close working relationships with commercial and divisional leads as well as the Board.
Location: Based out of the Swindon regional office 2 days/week, you will be comfortable operating across the Bristol and Somerset geography.
Role: Reporting to the local Managing Director and with a dotted line into the Group Financial Controller, you will ensure the financial control environment operates robustly across the region, ensuring compliance with financial control standards, accounting routines, procedures. You will also produce monthly reports setting out appropriate financial information and insight, lead budgeting and forecasting at a regional level and produce monthly financial performance reports and KPIs.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Ideally exposure to logistics, distribution or transport sectors
- Demonstrable experience in leading systems and process improvement
- Experience building financial reporting, forecasts, budgeting and financial accounts management
- Experience in a rapid growing organisation or organisation focused on growth
