We are supporting a global listed organisation looking to appoint an experienced Interim Transformation Director to lead a significant review and transformation of its finance operating model.
This is a senior, hands-on assignment working closely with the executive leadership team to identify and deliver opportunities across shared services, cost optimisation, process standardisation, automation and AI-enabled efficiencies.
The initial focus will include:
- Reviewing the current finance operating model and establishing a clear cost, activity and FTE baseline.
- Assessing the scope, effectiveness and future role of existing Shared Services / GBS activities.
- Identifying opportunities to consolidate, relocate or redesign transactional finance activity.
- Reviewing core processes across P2P, O2C and R2R, identifying duplication, inefficiency and opportunities for greater standardisation.
- Developing a clear Target Operating Model and transformation roadmap.
- Identifying opportunities for automation and AI to improve productivity, controls, reporting and decision support.
- Building the business case, quantifying benefits and establishing a pragmatic implementation plan.
- Working with senior stakeholders globally to create alignment and translate the strategy into executable change.
We are looking for an experienced Transformation Director / Finance Transformation Director who has operated within complex, international organisations and can demonstrate delivery across several of the following:
- Finance operating model transformation
- Shared Services / Global Business Services
- Cost optimisation and productivity improvement
- Process standardisation
- Automation and digital transformation
- Practical application of AI within Finance
- ERP-enabled transformation
- Board-level business cases and benefits realisation
- Complex international stakeholder environments
This is not simply an advisory or strategy assignment. The successful individual will need to rapidly diagnose the opportunity, develop the case for change and be capable of moving into mobilisation and delivery.
Location: Thames Valley - approximately 2 days per week onsite
Rate: c.£950-£1,100 per day
Status: Outside IR35
Start: ASAP / subject to availability
