Company International business in Bristol now seeks to appoint a Head of Tax to drive its best-in-class tax team. Working closely with the group finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the business with optimisation and guidance on direct and indirect tax matters while ensuring a solid position towards the tax authorities. You will also act as the Transfer Pricing guide defining, securing, and updating the Group Transfer Pricing policy. This role may appeal to a Manager/Senior Manager in Big4 seeking their first industry move or perhaps an individual who has experience in an in-house tax setting. Role The Head of Tax will be responsible for managing all the group’s UK tax reporting and compliance obligations, leveraging both internal accounting team resources and external advisors, to ensure all obligations are met. Specific responsibilities include: Development and completion of tax reporting schedules for UK GAAP monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting requirements. Preparation of UK compliance obligations, calculation of quarterly instalment payments, and drafting responses to any HMRC queries. Management of UK and overseas advisors alongside Corporate Tax Senior Manager in respect of the preparation of the R&D tax relief and capital allowances claims, review of overseas tax returns and filing requirements, and the review of overseas statutory accounts. Management of employment tax risk within the business, including policies and procedures, HMRC filings, government grants, global mobility. Preparing Group IFRS tax provisions for group audit and tax forecasting. Acting as the main point of contact for UK tax matters both internally and externally, providing tax approval for business projects. Organize and coordinate the relevant information to be provided to Finance to implement intercompany invoicing in line with the Transfer Pricing policies. Lead, coordinate, and contribute to the business on Transfer Pricing aspects of projects. Participate in ad-hoc tax projects and M&A activities, focusing on the Transfer Pricing aspects. About You Fully ACA and/or CTA qualified with a broad experience of tax technology, you will have deep UK tax technical knowledge with a broad skill set and experience including UK tax compliance, tax reporting and accounting, tax advisory UK and international, tax risk and controls.
