An ambitious, fast-growing owner-managed SME is looking to appoint an interim qualified Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function whilst they run a permanent search. This is a broad, hands-on role combining day-to-day financial control with commercial insight and modelling, working closely with the owner and senior leadership team.
The role:
- Full ownership of month-end, management accounts and statutory reporting
- Cashflow management, forecasting and balance sheet control
- Oversight of multiple legal entities
- Budgeting, scenario planning and commercial modelling to support decision-making
- Improving controls, processes and financial visibility as the business scales
- Acting as a trusted finance partner to the owner and wider business
The person:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Proven experience in an SME or owner-managed environment
- Comfortable operating at both detail and strategic level
- Strong modelling and analytical capability
- Commercial, pragmatic and confident engaging with non-finance stakeholders
Timetable/Logistics:
We are looking to onboard you before the end of January and would like you to be comfortable working in the office ideally 3-4 days/week. The role is offered on a day rate basis Inside IR35.
