We’re supporting a fast-growing and highly commercial business seeking to appoint a Commercial Finance Analyst into a broad and visible finance role supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. This is not a traditional reporting-focused analyst position. The role offers genuine breadth across commercial finance, FP&A, forecasting, scenario modelling, pricing analysis and strategic projects within a dynamic and evolving environment.
The business is looking for someone intellectually curious, commercially minded and motivated by understanding how a business operates and grows — rather than simply reporting historic numbers. The opportunity would likely suit either:
- A commercially minded CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant already operating within industry, or
- An ACA who has already completed an initial move from practice and gained broader commercial exposure within industry or deals-focused environments.
Key Areas of Exposure
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Commercial and financial analysis
- Scenario and sensitivity modelling
- Performance reporting and insight generation
- Business partnering with operational stakeholders
- Pricing and margin analysis
- Supporting strategic and growth initiatives
- Process improvement and automation
- Ad-hoc commercial projects
This position offers excellent exposure to senior leadership and would suit someone looking to accelerate their commercial finance career within a business where finance is viewed as a genuine strategic partner.
Likely profile:
- Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Strong analytical and modelling capability
- Commercial curiosity and problem-solving mindset
- Confident communicator able to engage with non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Ambitious individual seeking broader commercial exposure and career progression
Whilst technically strong individuals from audit may be considered, the business is unlikely to view this as a natural first move directly from a pure audit background. The environment requires individuals who can already demonstrate commercial instinct, analytical curiosity and an ability to operate beyond purely technical or compliance-focused finance work. Profiles coming from transaction services, corporate finance, deals advisory or more commercially exposed finance environments are likely to align particularly well with the breadth and pace of the opportunity.
