Job Purpose: One of my local government clients is seeking a reliable and motivated Static Cleaner to deliver high-quality cleaning services to communal areas within the city’s council housing estates. This role is vital in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents across Cardiff. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out thorough cleaning of communal areas to agreed standards. * Follow prescribed cleaning procedures and adhere to safe working practices. * Identify and report any repairs or safety concerns in the communal areas. * Liaise with the Caretaking Supervisor on operational issues and tenancy-related concerns, including anti-social behaviour. * Keep clear and accurate records of work undertaken for performance monitoring and complaints handling. * Communicate effectively with residents and other departments when required. * Support the use of emerging technologies and attend relevant training, including BICSc standards. * Follow Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures as set out by Cardiff Council. * Travel to the assigned static site reliably and consistently. Essential Requirements: * Experience in domestic or commercial cleaning. * Ability to work unsupervised and take ownership of responsibilities. * Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms. * Ability to follow a methodical and consistent approach to work. * A commitment to customer service and understanding of equality and diversity principles. * Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work. Desirable: * Cleaning qualifications. * Experience using industrial cleaning equipment. * Full, valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
