About the Role: One of local government clients is looking for a Prison Librarian to manage the day-to-day operations of the library service at HMP Brixton. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified librarian with a passion for literacy, structure, and public service to contribute within a custodial setting. Key Responsibilities: * Run the daily operations of the prison library at HMP Brixton. * Supervise and direct prisoner orderlies working in the library. * Promote reading, learning, and access to resources for inmates. * Maintain a secure and orderly environment while ensuring access to educational and recreational materials. * Liaise with prison staff and external agencies to support offender rehabilitation through literature and information access.
