One of my local goverment clients is seeking a skilled Employment Solicitor to join its Litigation Team on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing legal advice and representation on a range of employment law matters across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive advice on all aspects of employment law, policy, and governance.

  • Manage and conduct litigation, including preparation and representation at Employment Tribunals (ET) and Courts.

  • Act as an advocate for the Council when required.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience in employment law.

  • Demonstrated experience representing clients in Employment Tribunals and litigation matters.

  • Strong knowledge of public sector legal frameworks and governance.

  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
