We’re seeking a dynamic and creative Communications and Marketing Officer to help shape how Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council communicates with residents, media, and stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality internal and external communications, managing press and social media activity, supporting public relations, and contributing to the Council\’s positive public image. What You\’ll Do: * Create engaging content for press releases, social media, and digital platforms. * Manage media relationships, respond to enquiries, and proactively drive positive news stories. * Support internal communications and corporate events. * Maintain and update the Council’s website and social media platforms. * Ensure all communications align with the Council’s corporate identity and values. What We\’re Looking For: * Recent experience in media relations, journalism, or social media. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Experience working with the public and handling sensitive or confidential information. * A strong understanding of local government or political environments (desirable). * Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. media, journalism, communications).
