One of my local government clients are currently recruiting an experienced Business Operations Team Manager on a temporary basis. This is a 3-month minimum contract with the possibility of the role being extended further to work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Hybrid working role where, however, you will be required to attend the office 2/3 times a week.

Overview: Business operations team managers are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of business operations support across Children and Family services. This includes working collaboratively with management colleagues to create and implement support procedures on duties aligned to teams. The Team Manager will provide key performance information quarterly to show how volume drives where staff capacity is moved, providing a more agile focused approach to ensure duties are covered. The Business operations team manager will set the example to staff to deliver the standard of performance that Enfield expects through undertaking, reviewing and coaching staff on tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Business operations team and ensure that the team consistently meets or exceeds to deliver tasks to the highest standards on tasks aligned or on tasks where volume is high across other parts of the service.
  • Provide visible leadership across the services, monitoring performance, quality and satisfaction to ensure delivery of statutory timescales are met.
  • Manage work-flow and scheduling to ensure a fair distribution of work which fully utilises all team members to develop to their full potential and productivity across the services.
  • Contribute to the development of service plans to meet strategic business goals.
  • Collate process and analyse information / data. Translate outputs into advisory reports / documents / actions as appropriate, sending monthly Key Performance information to Service Manager monthly.
  • Lead on the development, implementation, maintenance and management of systems, policies, procedures and / or standards within area of responsibility.
  • Work closely with others to support/manage the development and delivery of improvements in processes and procedures throughout the services.
